I am a sucker to a good book cover, imagery that provides just a sliver of a story just waiting to be told. I've always wondered how authors/publishers chose a cover. Some books I still adore to this day but hated the cover and some books I've bought based on the cover, with mild interest in the story, but couldn't get past 30 pages. In Girls in Trucks, Katie Crouch discusses her selection process and the reactions of readers to the book cover. Love the "behind the scenes" glimpse. I'm fascinated by the creative process - guess that's why I love behind-the-scene reels, DVD commentary and any chance to see what goes on behind the curtain.
